MaintX - Maintenance and Assets Management System |

In the year 1988 the Icelandic software
company, MaintSoft, introduced MaintX - a software tool for
maintenance management. This was then a radical change in
maintenance processes for most companies, but the system was
very well received from the beginning. The systems success
with many large companies enabled MaintSoft to put in
additional resources for developing it further on in order
to fulfil our clients needs and integrate new technology.
MaintSoft has introduced a multi-lingual version of the
system to the international market. This is MaintX for
Windows 2000-XP-Vista. It's a PREVENTIVE maintenance system,
based on the concept that "taking care of things before they
go wrong saves money". It answers our clients demand for a
system that is both very reliable and has a powerful,
easy-to-use features. MaintX has a flexible user interface,
advanced (integrated) inventory and ordering system,
supervision of work orders and equipment history. It also
has a complete on-line documentation and context sensitive
"help" system which clarifies the subtler processes. What makes MaintX different from other systems in this field is it's emphasis on PREVENTION - that is we have implemented work processes in such a way that jobs are done according to plans and/or measurements. Thus failures and breakdowns caused by lack of supervision are prevented. But the system is also flexible enough to allow jobs to be done manually. DOING THE JOB THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE, THAT'S WHAT IT IS! MaintX is now in use in many of the largest industrial companies in Iceland, along with freight carriers and institutions. The system has also proved itself under demanding circumstances in trawlers and other vessels. After MaintX has been installed it takes care of all the daily plans for the preventive maintenance and puts out work orders: Unscheduled maintenance tasks / Scheduled maintenance Combination of measures or floating schedules. MaintX allows you to put tasks on work plans by filtering the work orders. |
